United accepts dogs in the cabin under certain conditions. Its official list of destinations subject to restrictions covers the following places, with specific provisions for Spain, Guam and Taiwan set out below: Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, French Polynesia (Tahiti), Greenland, Guam, Guyana, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Jamaica, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Mongolia, Morocco, New Zealand, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), Palau, the Philippines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), the United Kingdom and Vietnam. For the other places on this list, pets cannot travel in the cabin to, from or through these destinations. In Spain the restriction concerns Bilbao alone: it does not cover Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga or Palma, where the other travel conditions still apply. From Guam, carriage is allowed to Tokyo-Narita or the US mainland, but not the other way round. Pet travel from Guam to the US mainland is considered international. For Taiwan, carriage is prohibited between Kaohsiung and Tokyo-Narita, and between Taipei and Guam, in both directions; for other journeys involving Taiwan, the scope of the restriction remains to be confirmed with United. Some of these places are not in our tool yet, and their absence is not permission. The Finder does not check this restriction for connecting airports. Therapy and emotional support cats and dogs travel as pets and are subject to the same rules. Service dogs come under separate conditions.
